Pair Of Steling Silver & Enamel Richard Hemsley Guilloche Lingerie Pins
This is a very cool pair of antique .925 sterling silver and enamel guilloche lingerie pins, made and marked by Richard Hemsley. Richard Hemsley founded Hemsley’s Jewellers, the the oldest and most refined jewellery store in Canada in 1870. Each of these pieces are tadpole shaped with mostly black enamel. They both have a gently scalloped edge all the way around with a tear-drop shaped dollop of green enamel in the center, which is framed by white enamel guilloche. Each pin measures 1.25″ long and are marked STERLING along with Hemsley’s hallmark (RH in a banner). They are both in very nice condition with only lighter wear, there is no chipping or cracking to the enamel, the original patina has been left intact, and the pin backs work perfectly.
These pins will be in our estate case (but not for too long!).
